Suspect arrested with map of Parliament road and Parliament passes

A suspect has been arrested with a map of the access road to Parliament and Parliament passes, the Police said. The suspect was arrested in Balangoda after his house was searched. According to the Police, the suspect had in his possession several mobile SIM cards, three mobile phones, bullets and credit cards.

Emergency regulations passed by Parliament

Parliament passed emergency regulations today without a vote. The emergency regulations give the Police and military more powers to deal with suspects.
