Specialized corporate and marketing communications consultancy, Cyaniq Global partnered mobile technology solutions provider Mylinex International to unveil “Broadkast,” a rich content broadcast platform set to reimagine the future of mass media communication with cutting edge mobile technologies.
At present, Broadkast enables enterprise users to broadcast promotional messaging via mobile relays including voice, SMS, and for the first time in South East Asia – Viber. The integration of Viber, the dominant messaging platform in the local market introduces a new dimension to mass broadcasting by enabling the inclusion of rich visual content in messages. Users of the platform will now be able to create rich content for broadcast to over 8 million local Viber users and direct them to custom URL destinations to complete defined actions.
Viber, the cross-platform voice over IP and instant messaging software application developed by Japanese MNC – Rakuten is the dominant messaging platform in Sri Lanka outnumbering similar applications significantly through its user base. Organizations looking to reach mass audiences on mobile will find an obvious use case in the Broadkast platform and are expected to adopt the platform as the preferred communication medium for mobile marketing.
Mylinex, a Sri Lankan representative at the Mobile World Congress held in Barcelona in 2018 has been present in the telecommunications signalling service industry with a comprehensive suite of services offered in collaboration with the country’s major telcos. The rich communication platform developed by the company is a first in the region with plans in the pipeline to integrate a more complete set of services in the near future.
“We are really excited to have completed development of this product and be ready to introduce the platform to the market. We really believe in the potential of this platform as a great tool for broadcasting messages to mass audiences through powerful mobile media vehicles like Viber. The product is going to continue to evolve and add features in the future and we think the potency of the platform will be proven in the coming weeks,” commented Shanaka Mendis, Head of Sales – Mylinex International.
Broadkast integrates content development services and analytics for businesses leveraging the platform for mass communication through its association with Cyaniq. Over the years, Cyaniq has succeeded in setting strategy, developing content for a top-tier clientele including ten of the top twenty corporates listed in the Colombo Stock Exchange. The industry-tested expertise of the specialized consultancy will add value to the rich content communication capabilities of the platform and provide an end to end service chain.
Cyaniq has seen great success in utilizing content for enhanced engagement and consumption among targeted audience segments via multiple media platforms both traditional and social. In 2018, Cyaniq hosted Sri Lanka’s first ever Instagram platform Collaborator Forum in a bid to occupy thought leadership in the country’s early foray into social media marketing through the Instagram platform. The experience of purposing content for mobile consumption is expected to translate to effective expertise in the use of Viber as a platform through the Broadkast platform.
“The Broadkast platform is bringing together technology and mass media communication in a truly contemporary way through integrations with platforms such as Viber. It’s interesting to see how the industry will adjust to fully leverage the opportunity that a rich content communication platform is able to offer. We expect there will be a lot of promise for this platform in industries where reaching mass audiences is an imperative for organizations,” stated Rohitha Perera, Chief Executive – Cyaniq Global.
Having completed user testing and quality assurance processes, Broadkast is now ready for business use and is available for trial via Cyaniq and Mylinex. Contact a consultant via [email protected] or visit www.cyaniq.global/canvas for more information.
