7-piece pop rock band Flame to headline at Elevate

The month of August is set to be a rocking one at Elevate, Colombo?s highest rooftop bar, as one of the city?s legendary pop-rock bands, Flame, is scheduled to light up your Thursday evenings throughout the month from 7.30pm onwards.

Flame, originally a western folk music band have, since their inception 25 years ago, serenaded ?fans of pop and classical rock with their distinct renditions.

Drawing influence of a variety of musical genres ranging from traditional Baila to classic western rock and modern pop, Flame is sure to set the stage for a night of revelry for all.

Elevate Rooftop Bar, located on the 30th floor of the Access South Tower at No. 278/4 Union Place, Colombo 02 is the city?s latest nightlife entrant, making a name for itself with its mouth-watering cuisine ?and ?the breath-taking views.

Elevate will be offering an extended happy hour for three hours every Thursday throughout the month of August, so make sure you head up to experience a sun down like no other as Flame lights up your night!

Country music legend Kenny Rogers dies at 81

Kenny Rogers, the country musician behind such hits as ?The Gambler? and “Lady” over a six-decade career, has died at the age of 81, his family announced early Saturday. ?Rogers passed away peacefully at home from natural causes under the care of hospice and surrounded by his family,? a statement from SKH Music said.
