Wigneswaran?s sacking of NPC Minister ruled illegal

The sacking of a Northern Provincial Council Minister by former Northern Province Chief Minister C.V. Wigneswaran has been ruled illegal.

Wigneswaran had sacked former Northern Province Minister B. Deniswaran when he was the Chief Minister of the Northern Provincial Council.

However, the Court of Appeal ruled today that the move was illegal and ordered that Deniswaran be paid the legal fees.
