JMI leader in Anuradhapura arrested

The leader of the Jammiyathul Millathu IbrahimĀ  (JMI) in Anuradhapura has been arrested..

According to the Police he had received weapons training in Nuwara Eliya at a camp operated by Zaharan Hashim, a radical Muslim preacher accused of masterminding the Easter Sunday attacks.

The JMI was banned in Sri Lanka following the Easter Sunday attacks.

Yesterday two people, including the Eastern Province leader of the Jammiyathul Millathu Ibrahim (JMI) were arrested.
