Airman on duty at Swiss Ambassador’s residence commits suicide

An airman who was on duty at the Swiss Ambassador’s official residence in Colombo committed suicide by shooting himself.

The Police said that the airman shot himself using his own weapon.

The airman who was seriously injured in the shooting died on admission to the Colombo National Hospital.

The 21-year-old airman, a resident of Gampola was attached to the Air Force Headquarters.
