CID to probe complaint against State Counsel Malik Azeez

The Criminal Investigations Department is to investigate a complaint against State Counsel Malik Azeez.

Azeez, who is attached to the Attorney General?s Department has been accused of neglecting his duties with regards to the Easter Sunday attacks.

A complaint was filed by the General Secretary of the Sinhala Ravaya, the Venerable Magalkande Sudatta Thera at the Police Headquarters against the Attorney General?s Department.

The monk had also called for the arrest of the State Counsel.

The Police Headquarters has instructed the CID to investigate the complaint.

Ten month old twins killed in Sammanthurai

The Police said that the two girls were found killed in the bathroom of the house. The mother is suspected to have committed the crime and has been arrested.
