Gota appears in court, case postponed to August

Former Defence Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa appeared before the special High Court today when the case on the D.A. Rajapaksa Museum was heard.

The court was informed that the Supreme Court had issued an order yesterday preventing the trial against Rajapaksa over the D.A. Rajapaksa Museum being taken up at the Permanent High Court Trial-at-Bar till 1st October.

Rajapaksa was accused of misappropriating state funds to construct the museum when Mahinda Rajapaksa was President.

The Permanent High Court Trial-at-Bar postponed the case till 30th August.
