The Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) is to sign agreements with ten political parties this week, SLPP National Organiser Basil Rajapaksa said today.
Rajapaksa said that the agreements will be signed on Friday in the presence of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa.
He said that the SLPP has already had talks with several political parties on forming a broad alliance.
Rajapaksa said that the policy framework of the new alliance will be based on the proposals made by the alliance partners.
Basil Rajapaksa said that so far the SLPP has had talks with 26 political parties. (Colombo Gazette)
