The Catholic Church has decided to cancel the Good Friday and Easter Sunday services as well as other services during the Holy Week. Government warns officials on matters related to curfew

All decisions pertaining to the islandwide Police curfew, imposed due to the Covid-19 outbreak in Sri Lanka, are to be drawn by the hierarchy of the Government. Suspect arrested for spreading fake news remanded

A suspect who was arrested in Uhumeeya, Kurunegala for spreading false news on covid-19 via social media, was remanded till 8 April. The 38 year- old man from Kalubowila, was arrested by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) yesterday.
