Probe sought on VIP security officers who assaulted van driver

The Police have been requested to investigate an incident where security officers of a VIP had assaulted a van driver.

The incident had been captured on video and was circulated on social media.

Parliamentarian Ashu Marasinghe said that he has made a written complaint to the IGP seeking an investigation into the incident.

The Parliamentarian said that he has urged the Police to bring to justice the culprits responsible for the assault on the van driver.

The assailants traveled in vehicles CAG 0550, CAD 8850.

The Police said that the Colombo Crimes Division has been instructed to investigate the incident.?(Colombo Gazette)
