ARTDO International (formally known as Asian Region Training and Development Organisation) will meet in Sri Lanka for a conference of brainstorming, inspiration, and motivational mentoring in September 2019.
Since its inception in 1974, has reached beyond borders of the Asian region and gone global. Over 20 world renowned HR and Management gurus and Numero Uno specialists in several fields will be in Sri Lanka to share their knowledge and experiences at this year’s conference.
Focusing on enabling technology, sustainability practices, developing a new generation/future workforce, coaching and mentoring, transformational leadership, CEO forum, and women empowerment, the conference is themed, ‘Shaping a Sustainable Future’, and will be held from the 23rd to the 25th of September 2019 at the Hilton Colombo, Sri Lanka.
Speaking at the press conference, ARTDO President, Attorney at Law Janaprith Fernando emphasised on importance of the knowledge and wisdom that would be offered by speakers from all over the globe such as Dr. Penelope Hood (UK), Dr. Tanvi Gautam (USA), Dr. Irving Huang (Taiwan), and Mr. Chevaan Daniel (Sri Lanka) among many others.
Her Royal Highness Princess GKR Mangkubumi of Indonesia together with Lakmini Wijesudandara of Iron One Technologies (Sri Lanka), Rita Goh (Malaysia), and Koko Nakahara will focus on Women Empowerment and Leadership sector.
Kishu Gomes, Chairman – Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority, focused on the state of tourism in Sri Lanka, and the significance of ARTDO International World Conference choosing Sri Lanka as its venue despite the tragedy of Easter Attacks. He mentioned that global terrorism can only combated when the world comes together in one voice to help each other out. Further, he mentioned that Sri Lankan tourism has risen by a large margin in a very short time, and events such as ARTDO International and many others in the near future will continue to aid in its growth.
Voicing similar views, Shehan Pieiris –Board Member of CIMA International, said that with a strong corporate sector and dedicated professionals Sri Lanka can and will grow rise above again. Speaking of the forums available at ARTDO International World Conference, he said the world is changing, and as a country we should not be stagnated but be prepared for the future. Both Mr. Gomes and Mr. Peiris said that as a country we can help with a smile – simply by offering a smile to tourists and our fellowmen.
ARTDO International World Conference will bring in information from a new world highlighting strengths of Gen Z and Millennials, culture change, sustainable practices, artificial intelligence, emotional well-being, and transformational leadership among many others to the Sri Lankan audience as well as the global visitors. It will play a significant role in changing the work space as well as the work mindset of Sri Lanka.
