Government denies allegations on deals with US

The Government today denied allegations being raised against three agreements either signed or being discussed between Sri Lanka and the US.

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe briefed Parliament today on the three agreements and dismissed allegations raised against them.

Foreign Minister Tilak Marapana also spoke on the agreements and insisted that Sri Lanka has not agreed to sign any deal which will harm Sri Lanka’s sovereignty.

Concerns have been raised over the Acquisition and Cross-Servicing Agreement (ACSA), Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA) and Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) agreement between the US and Sri Lanka.
