Sri Lanka seeks medical assistance from Iran

Sri Lanka has sought assistance from Iran to import medical items, the Tehran Times reported. The assistance was sought when the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Iran, Wishwanath Aponsu, met Pir Hossein Kolivand, head of the Iranian Red Crescent Society. US and China discuss ways to support Sri Lanka

The United States and China had talks today on ways to support Sri Lanka. China’s Ambassador to Sri Lanka Qi Zhenhong met with the US Ambassador to Sri Lanka Julie Chung at the Chinese Embassy in Colombo today. The Chinese Embassy said that they had a friendly discussion on broad topics of mutual interest. Muditha Peiris appointed Litro Gas Chairman

Muditha Peiris has been appointed as the new Chairman of Litro Gas. He replaces Vijitha Herath who resigned after a short stint as Chairman. Vijitha Herath was appointed Chairman of the state-run Litro Gas Lanka Limited on the 21st of April. He was appointed to the post after Theshara Jayasinghe resigned from the post.
