Sri Lanka signs deal to expedite death compensation cases

The Consulate General of Sri Lanka in Jeddah, has entered into a contract with a law firm in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to initiate and prosecute death compensation cases of the dependents of Sri Lankan nationals whose death had occurred as a result of third party negligence and for the prosecution of claims of blood money arising from murder cases.

With the signing if this agreement it is anticipated that the inordinate delay in the disposal of the said compensation cases could be avoided, so as to meet out justice expeditiously to the aggrieved parties, the Foreign Ministry said.
