Ravi.K’s daughter Onella appears before the CID

The Police Criminal Investigations Department (CID) today questioned Minister Ravi Karunanayake?s daughter Onella.

She was ordered to appear before the CID to make a statement over allegations she gave false evidence before the Commission investigating the treasury bond scam.

Onella was questioned by the CID on June 6 as well and her parents are also expected to be questioned.

Ravi Karunanayake was one of the main accused in the scam which took place when he was the Finance Minister.? (Colombo Gazette)

Government doctors launch 24 hour token strike

Government doctors launched?a 24 hour strike today on the SAITM private medical college issue. The?Government Medical Officers Association (GMOA) said the strike was launched?in all Government hospitals around the country.
