PSC to summon PM, Ruwan and two Ministers

The Parliament Select Committee on the Easter Sunday attacks is to summon Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, State Minister of Defence Ruwan Wijewardena and two former Law & Order Ministers to testify.

The decision had been taken by the PSC members when they met this week. However a date has not been fixed to summon them.

It was earlier reported that the PSC may also consider summoning the President.

Wickremesinghe, Wijewardena and former Law & Order Ministers Sagala Ratnayake and Rajith Madduma Bandara will most likely be summoned over the next couple of weeks.

The Parliamentary Select Committee is scheduled to convene again on June 26.

  1. Even during the Asia’s longest brutal civil war in Sri Lanka this many foreigners did not die or injured. The current leaders are downplaying the damage caused by the Easter Sunday attacks for tourism industry in Sri Lanka, in order to cover up their failed responsibility. Eventually, it will comeback and haunt the leaders in big time.
