Two Sri Lankans in the United Kingdom (UK) have died after contracting the coronavirus. One person had been reported dead earlier yesterday while the second person had died later. The Ministry of Foreign Relations said that they were still awaiting details on the deaths. (Colombo Gazette)

Over 500 arrested for violating Police curfew

Over 500 persons were arrested on charges of violating the islandwide Police curfew within the last 24 hours ending at 6.00 a.m. today. An islandwide curfew has been in effect since 20 March, due to the Covid-19 outbreak in Sri Lanka. Robot to help Sri Lanka fight deadly virus

Atlas Axillia PLC, a subsidiary of the Hemas Group, has gifted a fully homegrown Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) robot to the Homagama Base Hospital, to assist medical personnel in the remote monitoring and care of patients affected by the coronavirus.
