Petition filed by Gota against case rejected

A petition filed at the Appeal Court by former Defence Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa against a case filed on him at the Permanent High Court Trial-at-Bar, was rejected today.

The case at the Permanent High Court Trial-at-Bar was filed over the construction of the D.A. Rajapaksa memorial.

Rajapaksa was accused of misusing state funds to construct the D.A. Rajapaksa memorial.

The former Defence Secretary filed a petition against the case at the Appeal Court but the Appeal Court rejected the petition today.?(Colombo Gazette)

Validity period of all types of visas issued to foreigners in Sri Lanka extended

The validity period of all types of visas issued to foreigners in Sri Lanka has been extended. The Controller General of Immigration and Emigration said that the validity period of all types of visas issued to all foreigners who are currently residing in Sri Lanka had been extended till 11th July 2020. The validity period had earlier been extended till 11 June and foreigners were advised to pay the relevant visa fee and get the visa endorsed in the passport by securing an appointment on or bef

SLCERT warns of critical flaws in Zoom application

The Sri Lanka Computer Emergency Readiness Team (SLCERT) has warned of critical flaws in Zoom application version 4.6.10. In a statement today, SLCERT said that cyber-security researchers have found vulnerabilities that can be used by attackers to hack into the Zoom application via chat.
