Minister meets Northern fishermen, discusses concerns

Fisheries Minister Mahinda Amaraweera today met fishermen in the North and discusses their concerns. Among the issues discussed was the impact on Northern fishermen as a result of Indian fishermen poaching in Sri Lankan waters. Joint opposition note concerns on Constitutional Assembly

The Joint Opposition Group (JOG) has picked holes in the procedure adopted by the Government to draft a new constitution.
