President leaves for Tajikistan to attend conference

President Maithripala Sirisena left for Tajikistan today to attend a conference, the President’s office said.

The President is to attend the “Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA)” in Tajikistan.

The two day conference will be held on 14th and 15th June.

While in Tajikistan the President is also expected to hold bilateral discussions.

Chinese President Xi Jinping is among the world leaders scheduled to attend the conference. (Colombo Gazette)

  1. President should develop his knowledge and build his confidence in Sri Lanka before building confidence for Asia. The problem with the South Asian leaders is they don’t know what they are capable of doing. They live in a lala world by listening to the West.
