Muslim MPs to raise concerns with UN, OIC

A group of Muslim Parliamentarians who resigned from their Ministerial posts this week will raise their concerns with the UN and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

Former Minister Rishad Bathiudeen said that they have decided to meet members of diplomatic community in Sri Lanka, meet the UN Resident Representative in Sri Lanka, and also have talks with the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation is the collective voice of the Muslim world. OIC has membership of 57 countries in four continents and safeguards to protect the interests of Muslims across the world.

Bathiudeen said this while speaking to reporters after he visited the Police Headquarters in Colombo today to lodge a complaint. (Colombo Gazette)

  1. This is exactly the foreign powers wanted aftermath of the Easter Sunday attacks. The UNP created a disaster in 1983, it also happened this year under the leadership of Ranil. In the past Ranil was the Prime minister but the country had better President than my3. So Ranil could not mess up the country under the other President.
