Police recover laptop used by NTJ leader

The Police have recovered a laptop used by Saharan Hashim, also identified by some as Zahran Hashim, the suspected mastermind behind the Easter Sunday attacks.

The Police said that the laptop was recovered in the Palamunai Lagoon in Akkaraipattu in the East.

The leader of the National Thowheed Jamath (NTJ) Saharan Hashim, was killed in the April 21st suicide attack.

Hashim was one of the suicide bombers involved in the Easter Sunday attacks.

Pillayan front runner says TMVP

The Thamil Makkal Viduthalai Pullikal (TMVP) says party leader Sivanesathurai Chandrakanthan is the front runner for the government as the candidate for the post of Chief Minister at the Eastern Provincial council elections. Indian, Lankan navies hold talks
