Former LTTE negotiator declares himself re-elected “PM”

Former LTTE negotiator Visuvanathan Rudrakumaran has declared himself re-elected as “Prime Minister” of the Transnational Government of Tamil Eelam (TGTE).

The TGTE inaugurated its third “Parliament” by convening its first sitting at the National Constitution Centre situated at Independence Mall in the city of Philadelphia.

The TGTE said that Dr (Mrs) Sarveswarythevi Thevarajah (USA) was elected as the Speaker and Mrs Rajanithevi Sinnathamby (Switzerland) was elected as the Deputy Speaker of the TGTE “Parliament” while Rudrakumaran was re-elected to lead the TGTE as it’s Prime Minister. The TGTE is not recognised as a Parliament by the UN or any country.

The TGTE said that it conducted internationally supervised elections in different countries around the world to choose members for its new Parliament. (Colombo Gazette)
