Two cops arrested for accepting liquor as bribe

Two policemen have been arrested for accepting liquor as a bribe, the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery and Corruption (CIABOC) said. The policemen attached to the Gampaha Police and another individual had accepted two liquor bottles as a bribe. Chinese national arrested at BIA with 200 live scorpions

A Chinese man has been arrested at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) with 200 live scorpions. Customs officers at the airport arrested the Chinese man when he attempted to smuggle the live scorpions out of the country. The live scorpions were found concealed in his luggage. (Colombo Gazette)
