Navy rescues 10 fishermen after boat capsizes

The Navy rescued 10 fishermen after their boat capsized in the Southern seas.

The Navy said that a crew of an Inshore Patrol Craft attached to the Southern Naval Command rescued the 10 fishermen after they issued a distress call while at sea off Ambalangoda.

The boat had left the Hikkaduwa fishing harbour and capsized off Ambalangoda.

The rescued fishermen were brought ashore and handed over to their relatives.
