China and Sri Lanka discuss defence ties

China and Sri Lanka had talks on the defence relationship between both countries.

The Defence Attach? of the Chinese Embassy in Sri Lanka, Senior Colonel Xu Jianwei met the new Secretary to the Ministry of Defence, General S H S Kottegoda (Retd) at the Ministry, the Defence Ministry said today.

The Ministry said that a cordial discussion was held between the Secretary and the Chinese Defence Attach? during the meeting held yesterday (Monday).

Mementos were also exchanged following the meeting.
