Cabinet has approved several relief measures for the tourism industry which took a hit from the Easter Sunday attacks.
Tourism Minister John Amaratunga told Parliament today that the relief measures will not just be for five star hotels but even others involved in the industry.
He said that among the relief offered are tax concessions and loans with interest to be paid in July next year.
The Minister also said that security scanners can be imported tax free.
He said he expects the tourism industry to get back on its feet and return to what it was in a year. (Colombo Gazette)
