Nine intelligence officers served indictments in Eknaligoda case

Nine intelligence officers of the Sri Lanka Army were today served indictments in the case over the disappearance of cartoonist Prageeth Eknaligoda. The indictments were served by the Permanent High Court Trial-at-Bar when the case was heard today. Chamal Rajapaksa appointed State Minister of Defence

Former Speaker Chamal Rajapaksa was appointed as the State Minister of Defence today. He took oaths before President Gotabaya Rajapaksa at the Presidential Secretariat. He was among several State Ministers and Deputy Ministers appointed today. Chamal Rajapaksa is the third of the Rajapaksa family to receive a top post in the new Government. Government unaware of incident involving Swiss Embassy official

The Government says it is unaware of an alleged incident involving a Swiss Embassy official.
