CMC advised to cremate 19 unclaimed infected bodies

By Indika Sri Aravinda The Colombo Municipal Council (CMC) has been advised to cremate 19 unclaimed infected bodies. The Colombo Gazette learns that the CMC has been told the bodies cannot continue to remain at the Colombo Mortuary any longer. Most, if not all the remains are of Muslims killed as a result of the coronavirus. The relatives of the victims have refused to accept the remains as they must be cremated. Infant dies at Lady Ridgeway after contracting coronavirus

An infant at Lady Ridgeway Hospital has died after contracting the coronavirus. The 20-day-old child was being treated at the hospital but he died today, hospital authorities said. Health Inspectors issue warning after hundreds gather in Kegalle

By Vyshnavy Velrajh Public health inspectors have warned that large gatherings in public places, similar to that seen in Kegalle today, could pose a serious threat. Public Health Inspectors (PHI) Association Secretary M.
