Report to UNSC questions North Korean links with Sri Lanka

A report submitted to the UN Security Council (UNSC) has questioned links established between Sri Lanka and North Korea, led by Kim Jong-un. The report by a Panel of Experts appointed by the UN has found that a North Korean diplomat had talks with the Sri Lankan Defence Ministry in November 2015. Former Health Minister Renuka Herath passed away

Former Health Minister Renuka Herath passed away today at the age of 72. Herath passed away at the Kandy General hospital. Herath was the Health Minister under former President Ranasinghe Premadasa. She also served as the opposition leader of the Central Provincial Council.
