Suspect deported from Dubai released after being questioned

A suspect deported from Dubai this week was released today after being questioned.

The Police said that?Mohamed Jabeer Mohamed Mufa was released after being questioned for several hours by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).

Two suspects who were arrested at a hotel in Dubai in February with notorious underworld leader Makandure Madush, were deported to Sri Lanka and detained at the Katunayake airport on Sunday night.

The suspects were identified as Mohammed Nazim Mohammed Faizer and Mohomed Jabeer Mohomed Mufa.

Mohammed Faizer was later arrested and handed over to the Colombo Crimes Division while Mohamed Mufa was detained for further questioning. (Colombo Gazette)
