A hit and run accident on Marine Drive today resulted in the death of one person while three others sustained injuries. Fake friend arrested for misleading people over the phone

A suspect has been arrested for misleading people over the phone by claiming he is a friend and obtaining money. The 31-year-old suspect was arrested by the Madampe Police after it was revealed he had telephoned several people claiming he is a friend of a close friend or relative. According to the Police, the suspect had then obtained money from those he had telephoned saying it was required to meet an urgent need.
