AG issues further advise on court proceedings

Attorney General (AG) President?s Counsel Dappula De Livera has issued further guidelines to the Acting Inspector General of Police (IGP) C. D. Wickremeratne on granting bail to remandees of minor offences. Number of coronavirus patients rises

One more patient infected with COVID-19 was detected today, bringing the total number of infected patients in Sri Lanka to 198. The Ministry of Health said 8 patients infected with the coronavirus were detected today. Earlier today, 7 patients, 6 from Suduwella in Ja- ela and one from Dehiwela, were identified as having contracted the virus. Police to reward officers engaged in COVID-19 duty

Acting Inspector General of Police (IGP) C. D. Wickremeratne has instructed all Senior Deputy Inspector General of Police in charge of Provinces to grant a reward to Police Officials on active duty to combat COVID-19 in Sri Lanka.
