Army defends screening process by HRCSL

The Sri Lanka Army today defended the screening process followed by the Human Rights Commission of Sri Lanka (HRCSL) to select troops for UN peacekeeping missions.

A statement by the Army said that the Army and the HRCSL maintain a highly cordial and professional relationship.

The Army said that Sri Lankans must also be proud that the UN has selected HRCSL being a Sri Lankan institution, to carry out the screening process. (Colombo Gazette)

Gotabaya tops postal votes in Colombo
