Tests reveal 226 people infected in Colombo

The Colombo District has recorded the highest number of Covid patients detected in Sri Lanka during the 24-hour period ending at 06am today. The National Operations Centre for the Prevention of COVID-19 (NOCPC) said that 226 individuals infected with the coronavirus were detected from the Colombo District during this period. According to NOCPC, 23 infected people were detected in Moratuwa, 19 in Piliyandala, 16 in Avissawella, 15 each in Colombo and Kesbewa, 12 in Wellawatte, and 11 in Boreles

Coronavirus death toll in Sri Lanka continues to rise

The coronavirus death toll in Sri Lanka continued to rise, reaching 647 today. The Government Information Department said that three more deaths linked to the virus were reported today. Circular to be issued enabling State institutions to decide on workforce

A special circular enabling heads of all Government institutions to decide on the workforce will be issued tomorrow (27), the Government announced.
