Driver of vehicle which killed Borella Traffic OIC further remanded

The driver of the Defender type vehicle involved in the accident which killed the Borella Traffic OIC was today ordered to be further remanded till 1st April.

Navindu Ratnayake was driving the vehicle when it crashed into the motorcycle of Borella Traffic OIC, IP Sarathchandra on February 24th.

The son of United People?s Freedom Alliance (UPFA) Parliamentarian Mahindananda Aluthgamage and seven others were later arrested over the hit-and-run accident.

However Mahindananda Aluthgamage?s son and seven others were later released on bail while the driver was remanded.

The OIC succumbed to his injuries in hospital on March 9th.?(Colombo Gazette)

Keheliya Rambukwella remanded further

Former Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella was ordered to be remanded further by court over the import of substandard human immunoglobulin vials. Rambukwella, former Health Ministry Secretary Janaka Chandragupta and 5 others were ordered to be remanded further until 14th March.
