Sugar content colour code now for biscuits

A sugar content colour code is to be introduced for biscuits, Minister of Health Rajitha Senaratne said today.

The sugar content colour code will be implemented from the 2nd of April 2019, the Minister said.

There is already a colour code for soft drinks.

The colour code for biscuits will indicate the sugar content and salt and fat content for biscuits.
