Budget 2019 finalised and ready for Parliament

The 2019 Budget 2019 has been finalised and is ready to be presented to Parliament this week.

The budget has been titled ‘Enterprise Sri Lanka – Empowering the people, nurturing the poor.”

Finance Minister Mangala Samaraweera finalised the budget proposal papers which are to be presented to Parliament on the 5th of March 2019 with Treasury Secretary Dr. R.H.S. Samaratunga, the Finance Ministry said. (Colombo Gazette)

Ranjan Ramanayake arrested

United National Party (UNP) Parliamentarian Ranjan Ramanayake was arrested by the Colombo Crimes Division (CCD) today. He was arrested at his official residence at Madiwela, on an arrest warrant issued by the Nugegoda Magistrate’s court.
