Gazette issued to hold Elpitiya polls on October 11

An Extraordinary Gazette notification was issued today to hold the Elpitiya Pradeshiya Sabha elections on October 11, 2019. The Supreme Court had last month ordered the Elections Commission to hold the elections of the Elpitiya Pradeshiya Sabha after accepting nominations by the Democratic United National Front (DUNF) which had earlier been rejected.
