CID investigates possible links between Nalaka and Makandure Madush

The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) is investigating possible links between former Police Terrorist Investigations Division (TID) DIG Nalaka de Silva?and notorious underworld leader?Makandure Madush.

Former DIG Nalaka de Silva is currently in remand over the alleged plot to kill President Maithripala Sirisena while?Madush was arrested in Dubai with narcotics in his possession.

The CID informed court today it was investigating possible links between?Nalaka de Silva and Madush.

The court, meanwhile ordered that?Nalaka de Silva be further remanded. (Colombo Gazette)
