More Non-cabinet and Deputy Ministers appointed

More Non-cabinet and Deputy Ministers were appointed today.

V. Radhakrishnan was sworn in as the Non-cabinet Minister of Special Area Development while Ravindra Samaraweera was appointed as the?Non-cabinet Minister of Labour and Trade Union Relations.

Meanwhile, Parliamentarian Abdullah Maharoof was sworn in as the Deputy Minister of Ports and Shipping.

Meanwhile, Minister Daya Gamage’s portfolio was amended and he was appointed as Minister of Social Empowerment.

Srilankan airlines flight diverted to Mattala

A Srilankan airlines flight was diverted to the Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport owing to bad weather, officials said. The passenger plane was carrying over 200 passengers and was on its way to Katunayake from London when it was diverted to Mattala.
