SLCERT issues alert on one time password messages

The Sri Lanka Computer Emergency Readiness Team (SL CERT) has warned the public to be on alert for One Time Password (OTP) messages from private numbers. CERT warned that if users receive an OTP from a local private number instead of from a service provider, it would mean that the message has come through an unauthorized third party who has access to the users OTP messages.
