No move to remove three-wheelers from Sri Lankan roads

The Government says there is no move to?remove three-wheelers from Sri Lankan roads. Finance Minister Mangala Samaraweera told reporters that while the Government will promote electric three-wheelers in the country it will not look to stop the import of three-wheelers. Shipping and logistics industry raise concerns over proposal

Ceylon Association of Shipping Agents (CASA) and Sri Lanka Logistics and Freight Forwarders Association (SLFFA) the voices of the shipping and logistics industry, have strongly object to the Government?s budget proposal to lift the remaining restriction of 60% on foreign ownership on shipping and freight forwarding agencies. Teen killed, seven injured as vehicle rams into wall

An 18 year old boy was killed and seven students sustained injuries following an accident in Rajagiriya today. The Police said a vehicle had skidded off the road and crashed into a wall in Madinnagoda in Rajagiriya killing the 18 year old boy and injuring several others. A student of Royal College Colombo was killed in the accident. The Police said the students were travelling in the vehicle which crashed into the wall.?(Colombo Gazette)
