Three arrested over semi-nude photographs taken on Pidurangala rock remanded

Three youth who were arrested over semi-nude photographs taken on the Pidurangala rock have been remanded till October 3rd. The Police had launched an investigation into the semi-nude photos appearing on social media, taken on the Pidurangala rock. The photographs show a group of local men with their pants down and bare chested posing for the camera. A complaint had been lodged with the Police over the photographs.?(Colombo Gazette)

Court of Appeal extends stay order on case against Gota

The Court of Appeal today extended a stay order preventing the?Colombo Magistrate?s Court from hearing a case filed against former Defence Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa and seven others. The case had been filed by the Bribery Commission in relation to?Avant Garde Maritime Services (Pvt) Ltd. The Court of Appeal extended the stay order on the case until December 5th.
