Sri Lankan national held for illegally entering India

A 42-year-old Sri Lankan Tamil was arrested at the Mandapam refugee camp in Rameswaram today, on charges of unlawful entry into India, the Press Trust of India quoted the police as saying. NFF demands recognition as independent party in Parliament

The National Freedom Front (NFF) informed Parliament today that it has withdrawn from the United People’s Freedom Alliance (UPFA) and should be recognised as an independent political party.
