Over 80 houses damaged

Over 80 houses were damaged from strong winds and trees that collapsed in various parts of the country this evening. The Disaster Management Center said that 4o houses were damaged in Gampaha from the strong winds but there were no details of any casualties. The DMC said that another 40 houses were also damaged in other parts of the country from trees that were uprooted by strong winds. Lanka accuses US of HR abuses

The Sri Lankan government has accused the United States of committing human rights abuses. Government denies reports on navy attack

The government has denied reports that the navy had attacked Indian fishermen off the Kodiakarai coast yesterday.
