Peliyagoda fish market shut after traders test positive for coronavirus

The Peliyagoda fish market has been temporarily closed after a number of traders tested positive for the coronavirus. Public Health Inspectors (PHI) said that at least 49 traders at the fish market had tested positive for the virus. PCR tests were carried out on all the traders at the market following which a number of them tested positive for the virus. (Colombo Gazette)

Indictments served on Champika Ranawaka over Rajagiriya accident

The Colombo High Court served indictments today on former Minister Patali Champika Ranawaka in connection with a road accident in Rajagiriya in 2016. In August the Colombo High Court indicted Ranawaka?s driver Thusitha Kumara and former Officer-in-Charge (OIC) of the Welikada Police ASP Sudath Asmadala. Navin Dissanayake declares will contest for UNP leader post
