Government says it has not asked IGP to step down

The Government says it has not asked Inspector General of Police (IGP) Pujith Jayasundara to step down. Cabinet spokesman Dr. Rajitha Senaratne told reporters today that concerns had been raised by President Maithripala Sirisena about the Police at the cabinet meeting yesterday.
