UNP assures action after incident at Lake House

The United National Party (UNP) has assured?stern action against a UNP member who threatened staff at the state owned Lake House last evening.

UNP Parliamentarian Dr. Harsha de Silva tweeted saying he condemned the ugly incident.

“I condemn the ugly incident at Lake House last evening. I will take stern action against the woman member of our council allegedly involved in it and determine what actually caused this. I apologize unreservedly to all who were inconvenienced. @RW_UNP @officialunp,” he tweeted.

The Police and Special Task Force had been deployed to Lake House last night to provide security. (Colombo Gazette)
